The year 2009 has certainly been a surprising year from beginning to end. For some the year has been good, for others the year has been bad. Still, for others it has been very sad. In the news industry the year has held one surprise after another with many historical firsts. The year started with more than the average amount of news, which is something unusual for Pierre Part, Louisiana and some sections of the United States.

New Year’s Resolutions, getting the New Year off to a good start depends on how we ourselves get started and what type of attitude we have towards the year ahead. In years past children in Pierre Part and the children in Belle River could walk the roads without any fear of someone offering them drugs. Today it’s not like that, children run the danger of being offered drugs or being coerced into being injected with very dangerous controlled substances. Although there are some that profess that President Obama is always wrong he is right about one thing, it’s time for a change.
The Eagle-Tribune uncovered some news on Assessor Wayne “Cat” Blanchard of Napoleonville.
Sources revealed back in December that Betty Metrejean was getting ready to walk away out of jail
Without paying a penny on a $100,000 bond.
The Eagle Tribune just learned from a very reliable source that Assessor Wayne “Cat” Blanchard allegedly reassessed Betty’s house to such an allegedly high value that she was allegedly able to bond out of jail without posting a penny.
Sources have said that “Cat” is allegedly in big trouble. The Eagle-Tribune is getting the scoop and the rest of the story is still be researched and updated on a daily basis.
